Meet the Board of Directors The HCS Board is made up of seven members who volunteer their time to serve for a three-year term. The board is comprised of parents, members of the Christian community and church leaders who share the following traits: a dedication to provide their talents and resources to meet the needs of the school, a vision for the school to thrive as an Christ-centered institution for the care and growth of its students and finally to submit to praying diligently that the school does not compromise in its desire to glorify God in words and actions. Mark Crawford, President Mr. Crawford has been involved with HCS for the past five years. Mark is the President of ‘Smokey Point Concrete’ adding his business management insight to the board. He has served as a coach in basketball, football and golf at the school. Mark and his wife Nancy have been married for 26 years and have four children. Their eldest son graduated last year from HCS.
Mr. Sanchez and his wife Shannon enrolled the oldest of their three children in HCS just short of two years ago. Phillip served on the Transitional Task Force beginning in 2008 and as that group’s responsibilities end, he is now leading the Task Force to new assignments. He joined the Board in March, 2009. Phillip currently works as a Regional Service Manager for Philips Healthcare and has a B.S. in electronic engineering. He serves as a board/deacon at his family’s church and is involved in the men’s ministry as a small group leader. He and Shannon have been married for 18 years.
Mr. Peeters has had a long association with HCS. He is a graduate of our school when it was formally known as Master’s Touch. He has served as a board member since 2008. John owns and operates ‘Penway Printing and Design’ in Arlington. Along with running his business, he is currently working toward his MBA.
Pastor Meade has been a part of the school’s chapel and the high school’s Mt. Baker retreats for the last four years. He has served on the board since April 2009. Jim spent three years in “Master’s Commission,” a discipleship program here in the Northwest and did a pastoral internship in Colorado. He serves at Arlington’s Assemblies of God as the Youth Pastor. He and his wife Matina have two sons.
Mr.Tyner has been apart of the HCS community since 2005. He and his wife have a son and a daughter who currently attend the school. Matt joined the Board in March, 2009 and is also the Athletic Director. In addition, he has also served as junior high basketball coach, finance committee and task force committe member. matt currently works for Integrity Insurance and Financial as an independent agent and has been in the insurance industry since 2004. Previous to that, he owned his own small business. His wife is an RN at a local hospital. He enjoys golf in his spare time.
